As well, the Mobile Library only carries the holds for the stops it will be attending that day. If you would like to pick up items at a stop other than your usual one, please contact the Mobile Library and they will be happy to bring it out.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library’s Mobile Library began as the bookmobile on January 29th, 1974 as a 33 foot fifth wheel trailer.
In 2001 the old bookmobile was retired and was replaced with a 35 foot Bluebird bus that featured a wheel-chair lift and was able to access the library’s systems online catalogue. This bus was repainted in 2011 and was driven nearly 400 thousand kilometers.
The newly renamed Mobile Library was launched in May 2018 in a 36 foot truck that expands to 38 feet when parked and features WIFI, self-checkout and tablets on board.
