The history of libraries in Clearwater date back to 1946, when Clearwater Women’s Institute opened a library. In September 1974 the Thompson-Nicola Library System took over the library making Clearwater the third branch to join the TNLS.
In 1987 a new library was built in Clearwater to better serve the needs of the community.
