We are so excited to introduce the first library in British Columbia with extended hours outside of staffed library hours, increasing access to library collections and spaces to the community.

Frequently Asked Questions
Library patrons who are 15+ years old, in good standing and have preregistered for the service.
The Service Extender will include access to:
- Holds pick up
- Collection browsing
- Library materials borrowing through self-checkout
- Materials return
- Access to internet computers and WiFi*
- Study space
Please note that washroom access is limited to meeting room users and are not available during Service Extender Hours.
*Computer time is 1 hour total per day, whether used during Service Extender or during open hours.
The Ashcroft Library was slated for renovation so it was an opportunity to add additional technology to make self-service possible.
