New Mobile Library Stop at Brocklehurst Recreation Centre

Kamloops, BC—January 4, 2021— the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library (TNRL) is pleased to offer a new Mobile Library stop at Brocklehurst Recreation Centre.

The new stop launches on Friday, January 8th from 10:30 to 11:30 am and will visit every three weeks.

“Building on our success at the Tournament Capital Centre, we are proud to partner again with the City of Kamloops for a stop at the Brocklehurst Recreation Centre. We hope that the new stop will prove popular with the neighbourhood,” says Melissa Lowenberg, Manager of Community Libraries and Engagement. Sean Smith, Business Operations & Events Supervisor, notes that “the City of Kamloops is pleased to host the TNRD Mobile Library at our recreation facilities, providing more convenient access to the library and all its services to residents in those neighbourhoods.”

At the moment, the Mobile Library service looks a little different due to COVID-19 safety protocols. Our friendly staff serve up Library Takeout orders while patrons wait outside.

The Mobile Library offers regular service to thirty stops, rural and urban, throughout the Thompson-Nicola Regional District. It operates as a full-service library with a variety of materials including CDs, DVDs, magazines, books, and audiobooks for all ages. Your TNRL library card is valid at all 13 branches and the Mobile Library. Borrow at one branch and return to another. Library service is free to TNRD residents.

Visit the library’s website to view the Mobile Library schedule.
