Kamloops, BC – March 13, 2024 –The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library (TNRL) is excited to announce Michael Christie’s national bestseller and award-winning novel Greenwood as its third One Book, One Community (OBOC) shared reading experience that promotes Canadian authors and their stories, provokes discussion, and builds understanding.
Together this spring, let’s read Greenwood, which weaves family history with the timeless beauty of Vancouver Island’s old-growth forests, explores complex family dynamics, intergenerational relationships, and the profound impact of tree loss in British Columbia.
Christie will read at select TNRL libraries between May 3 and 7, 2024 including an evening event at the Paramount Theatre on Monday, May 6. A writing workshop will be held at the Kamloops Library on Sunday, May 5. A full schedule of events is as follows:
