The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library would like to express its sincere condolences to the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation and all those impacted by the recent discovery of the remains of 215 children at the former Kamloops Residential School. This is a time of overwhelming grief and sadness. Flags at the TNRD admin building have been lowered to half-mast in solidarity with all Indigenous peoples.
TNRL is a place to learn, share and heal.
It can be hard to know what to say to children and teens about this tragedy. TNRL has resources that can help lead the discussion.
