Winners take home Summer Reading Club Mascots

Earlier this summer, each of our library locations received a Summer Reading Club mascot to represent the young readers of their community.  But they needed names, so we held a contest!

After reviewing all of the great ideas,  all of the mascots have gone hone with their winners! Here are a couple examples of the creative ideas that were chosen.

First up, we have Leon, who successfully named the Chase Library’s chickadee mascot “Chip!”

Next, we have Marley, who named the Kamloops fox Mascot “Toast!”

Cadence took home “Lilly” the duck in Logan Lake!

Barriere’s bunny mascot was successfully named “Cottontail” by Willow!

A note from Cottontail:

“I went home with my friend Willow and am living my best life. She already built me a room and made me some beautiful clothes and accessories.”

Congratulations, Nora, for naming the Mobile Library’s blue jay Summer Reading Club mascot “Swish!”

A big thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Name the Mascot contest! It is one of our favourite parts of Summer Reading Club!

Remember to bring your reading record to your library before September 3 for even more chances to win prizes!

We also have fun events to celebrate the end of Summer Reading Club in Kamloops, Barriere, Clearwater and Chase! For all the details, check out our online calendar.
