DIY Dinosaur

Materials

  • paper towel roll
  • paint
  • marker
  • paintbrush
  • paper
  • pencil
  • glue
  • scissors

Instructions:

Step 1

Start by drawing out an outline of footprints and a tail.

Or you can use this template, originally from Conservamome.com!

Step 2

Colour in those outlines with the desired colour you want your dinosaur to be. Nicola chose for her dinosaur to be purple!

Step 3

Now it is time to cut out the foot and tail outlines you made.

Step 4

Once you have the body, legs and tail cut out, begin by wrapping the body around the paper towel roll. It may be helpful to bend the legs out of the way while you do this.

Once you are happy with the placement, glue the body to the paper towel roll.

Step 5

Once the body is attached, it is now time to attach the head and tail to the paper towel roll. You can simply glue the tail on the back of the roll.

Step 6

To attach the head, we cut a small slit from the bottom of the neck, and then glued one flap onto the roll on each side of the neck. This way, the head stands up straight!

Final product

The final step is to glue on googly eyes or draw them on with marker.

Voila, you have your very own dinosaur!
