Program Spotlight: Musician in Residence Margit Gossage

Our second Musician in Residence, Margit Gossage, kicked off her feature events this week!

On Tuesday, a few brave souls joined her at the Kamloops Library for the first session of our Tween Music Camp. The group could be heard singing along with the likes of Taylor Swift as they practiced their vocal and performance skills in preparation for their performance on November 8th. I hear that dance moves will be added soon. In addition to the weekly Tween Music Camp, Margit will be hosting a Preschool Music Camp at the North Kamloops Library on Thursdays. Get your little ones rocking to the beat!

Margit is an accomplished performer, teacher, and businesswoman, and you can sign up for a one on one consultation with her between October 18 – November 10th. She is excited to offer lessons on songwriting, guitar, performance, ukulele and bass, in addition to advice navigating the music industry.

Margit will also be guest starring at a few of our regular programs, including Tiny Tunes on October 31st and November 1st & 8th. Join her and other local artists at the North Kamloops Library on November 3rd for our monthly Music Jam.

About the TNRL Residence Program:

The TNRL Residency program encourages the development of written and performing arts in the TNRD, connecting artists with the general public and providing local artists with time, space and resources to expand the footprint on their own projects.
