Mr. Gabriel Utterson, a well respected lawyer, is surprised when Dr. Henry Jekyll, one of his clients and a close colleague, suddenly changes his will to include a man named Mr. Hyde, a mysterious and twisted man that is known only for his cruelty and devilish nature.
Suspecting his friend of being somehow ensnared by Mr. Hyde, Utterson begins to investigate discreetly in the hopes of freeing his friend and bringing the little monster Hyde to the light. But as he investigates further and further, he discovers that his friend is hiding a dark secret.
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is one of the most well known gothic mystery novels ever written. Unfortunately many people don’t read it because they already know how it ends. Despite this, it is still one of the best books I have ever read. It is thrilling and creepy, and the longer you read, the harder it is to put it down. I recommend it to anyone who likes the creepy and mysterious, and to those who like a great book in a short read.
