#StaffPick: Auto Repair Source

Car Problems? Help Is Here!

Are you aware that the TNRL has an extensive collection of useful and interesting databases? If you own a vehicle and have questions we have a database dedicated to vehicle repair and maintenance called Auto Repair Source.

All sorts of useful information is covered to help keep your vehicle running and operating smoothly, efficiently and safely. Just a few of the topics covered are detailed repair procedures with illustrations, TSBs (technical service bulletins), wiring diagrams, part numbers and estimated repair times, maintenance intervals, fluid types and capacities and much, much more. Even those with no automotive background can learn to work on their own vehicle and will find some of this information particularly useful in the everyday operation of their vehicle such as how to check your engine oil, what type of oil use and how much. This is one simple task anyone can tackle and is critical to ensure that extensive engine damage does not occur by running low on oil.

Or say that you need to take your car to a repair shop to have a battery, alternator or starter replaced and you are wondering how much that will cost? By entering your vehicle’s year, make and model in the database you can look up the average cost of that particular part and the estimated time it will take a shop to replace it for you. Armed with this knowledge you will know in advance how much the repair may cost and you can keep the repair shop accountable too.

Auto Repair Source is an invaluable resource to expand your vehicular knowledge, keep your vehicle running in tiptop condition and can potentially save you hundreds of dollars in expensive repairs.
