Grade 3s are VIPs at the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library

Our Grade 3 VIP Library Card Campaign is back for it’s fourth year, and we are inviting all students in Grade 3 to take part!

How does it work?

In September, we send home library card application forms through Grade 3 classes in School Districts 73 and 58 for parents and guardians to sign. Once the forms are returned, we create a library card for each student that they then receive in a special package delivered back to their class. It’s that easy!

The five classes with the highest participation percentage (meaning the most students who returned their forms) will also win a $50 Chapters giftcard to buy books for their classroom, as well as a special visit from our campaign ambassador Acorn!

Here are just a few of the titles that one of last years’ winning classes added to their classroom library:

What about students outside SD 73 and SD 58?

If you are a parent or guardian with a student in grade 3 who doesn’t attend a school in School District 73 or School District 58, you can still take part in the campaign by downloading our application form here, or by stopping into your local library and asking for a registration form.
