Gallery: Ukulele Lending Launch

We are so excited to give the gift of music this holiday season.

It’s official: library card holders in the TNRD can now borrow a ukulele from the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library!

Similar to the highly-successful Guitar Lending program, library patrons can now place a hold on one of the high-quality ukuleles, handmade by Riversong Guitars, which are available at all library branches within the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD).

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at the TNRD Civic Centre in downtown Kamloops on Wednesday, December 14, for the official launch of this exciting initiative.

Our third and final Musician in Residence Tina Hebner opened the event with a live music performance with members of the Kamloops Ukulele Orchestra. We then heard remarks from TNRL Chief Librarian Judy Moore, TNRD Board Chair Barbara Roden, Musician in Residence Tina Hebner, and Riversong Guitars CEO Mike Miltimore on the launch of this exciting initiative that makes music more accessible in our communities.
