The TNRL would like to extend a huge thank you to the hundreds of people who joined us to celebrate the grand opening of the Aberdeen Tiny Library over the Family Day long weekend in Kamloops. It was one for the books!
Check out the photos from the events below, and if you haven’t stopped by our tiny library in the Aberdeen Mall food court yet, we’re open Wednesday to Saturday, 12 to 4 pm!
Grand Opening Part I:
A steady drum beat filled Aberdeen Mall on Friday, February 16, as we officially unveiled of our Aberdeen Tiny Library.
After an opening prayer and welcome song led by Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Elder Freda Jules and fellow Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc members, we heard encouraging remarks from TNRD Board Chair Barbara Roden, City of Kamloops Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson and TNRL Chief Librarian Judy Moore before the ribbon cutting and exploration of TNRL’s cozy new library.
