Computer Use

All TNRL locations offer free internet access on designated library computers. Printing is available for a fee at all locations (except the Mobile Library).

Some locations offer wireless and colour printing, as well as faxing. Check the Locations page for details. 

WiFi Use

Free Wi-Fi access is available in all TNRL locations. Please read the library’s policy before using the library computers or WiFi.

  1. The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library does not monitor and has no control over the information accessed through the Internet. The TNRL cannot be held responsible for the content or quality of information retrieved on Internet workstations or through the use of the public wireless network. The Internet is a global entity with a highly diverse user population and library patrons use it at their own risk.
  2. Use of the Internet for illegal, actionable, or criminal purposes is prohibited, and may constitute a criminal offense for which the patron will bear sole responsibility.
  3. The TNRL is not responsible for any patron misuse of copyrighted materials or violation of software licensing agreements.
  4. All Internet resources accessible through the TNRL are provided equally to all patrons. The TNRL reserves the right to manage its bandwidth to ensure equitable access. Parents or guardians are responsible for the information accessed via the Internet and/or selected by their children. Parents are advised to supervise their children’s Internet sessions.
