Noah’s Thoughts

Overall, I am really impressed with this novel each time I read it. The first time I read it was for a university course assignment, and I truly did not think that I would enjoy a book about a tax lawyer as much as I did! John Grisham does a really great job of creating a dynamic storyline, with consistent developments that keep readers on their toes.

I will say that given the length of this novel, the plot does become quite complex, and there is a lot of back and forth, setting changes, and perspective changes that readers need to watch out for. However, this was actually one of the aspects that I enjoyed most, because I felt constantly engaged and interested in following each aspect of the story to make my own deductions and theories as the story went on!

Even more so, I was really thrilled with the well-developed characterizations that Grisham brought to life through this storyline, and by the end, I really felt like I had been on a journey with each of them, especially surrounding the many jaw-dropping discoveries they make along the way.

All things considered, this is one of my favorite books and it broadened my horizons to a new genre I didn’t even know I was interested in!
