Kamloops, BC – September 9, 2022 – The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library (TNRL) is excited to announce the appointment of three highly-talented local musicians for the first Musician in Residence series.
Following in the success of its previous Residency programs with author Deryn Collier and screenwriter Ken Hegan, the TNRL is changing its tune, to support local musicians for this year’s Residency program.
Starting on Wednesday, September 14, the TNRL Musician in Residence Jeremy Kneeshaw will host free, engaging programs for other musicians, including:
- Performance 101;
- Instrument Maintenance;
- How to Set up A Recording Studio on a Dime; and
- A Musician in Residence concert experience
In addition to scheduled programming, musicians can request free one-on-one consultations with the Musician in Residence, who will provide coaching and feedback.
Jeremy Kneeshaw will join the TNRL until October 6, 2022. An established multi-instrumentalist, Jeremy released his first album at the age of 19 and has played in venues throughout western Canada. He currently plays in five bands, which range from Blues to Country, Bluegrass to Transcendence and genres in between.
Performing artists Margit Gossage and Tina Hebner will be the featured Musicians in Residence in October and November 2022, respectively.
About the TNRL Residence Program:
The TNRL Residency program encourages the development of written and performing arts in the TNRD, connecting artists with the general public and providing local artists with time, space and resources to expand the footprint on their own projects.
