Storytime & Craft: Warm Winter Wear

This is a great opportunity to practice vocabulary as well as the fine motor skills of cutting and colouring!

Materials:

  • Warm Winter Wear Doll template (PDF download below) or a blank sheet of paper as an alternative
  • Scissors
  • Crayons or markers
  • Sticky tac or tape or glue stick

Instructions:

Step 1:  Print off the PDF template or alternatively draw your own paper doll and winter clothing.

Step 2:  Colour your winter clothing with any designs, shapes or colours you select. Draw a face on your paper doll, then using your scissors cut out your doll and clothing

Step 3:  Fold a piece of tape in half sticky side out or put sticky tac or glue on the back of the winter clothing you will be using and dress up your doll. Have fun!

Bonus Activity:  Gather together some winter attire like scarf, boots, jacket, earmuffs etc., and have your child dress you up to go outside. Kids get a kick out of this!
