Coronavirus: A Book for Children

Axel Scheffler, illustrator of The Gruffalo, has illustrated a free digital book for primary school aged children explaining about the coronavirus and the current world we find ourselves in.

Another great resource for supporting your children!

Coronavirus: A book for children introduces children not only to the concept of viruses, but explains about germs and antibodies, and why it’s important to wash your hands and not touch your face. It explains why almost everyone has to stay home right now and lets children know that it’s normal for them to be experiencing a variety of emotions about being at home all the time.

It also lets them know that the grown ups in their life are also probably experiencing many of these same emotions, and that they can help by being kind to the people who live with them. It closes with a reminder that eventually this strange time will be over and we’ll all be together again.
